About the event

"Healing Takes Common Unity in the Same Way That Celebration Takes Community"

Welcome to A Community Dedicated to Healing in Common Unity

Communion  noun

1. the sharing or exchanging of intimate thoughts and feelings, especially when the exchange is on a mental or spiritual level.

Historically most Black Churches take communion on the first Sunday of the month also known as "Old Folks Sunday," as the Senior Choir would often sing to the congregation sweet hymnals.  Sunday dinner is a sacred tradition for African Americans and for some can be traced back to slavery. The Yoruba and many Indigenous Melaninated Societies view food as a symbol of hospitality and the breaking of bread together as a sacred ritual and offering to God. In the Odu Irete Ofun, Ifa explains that he that feeds people will always be blessed with more than enough.
