About the event

Ọbalúayé governs the spaces where the body is burdened, where grief and illness linger, and where what cannot be released alone must be returned to the earth. He teaches that healing comes through humility, simplicity, and respect for the body and the soil that sustains us.

What is Awọ́n?

Awọ́n is a sacred cleansing ceremony performed in honor of Ọbalúayé. Using 7 grains and eggs, the ritual draws out spiritual residue, illness energy, grief, stagnation, and misfortune from the body and releases it back to the earth to be neutralized and transformed.

This is not symbolic work. This is functional, ancestral medicine.
