Bábàlawo, Shaman, Motivational Speaker, Artist, Breathologist, Master Life Coach, Storyteller, Human. King H. Alejaibra Badu belief is if you are able to be freed from the things that bind you mentally and emotionally, then you can live your life on purpose. Live the life you deserve now, in the present moment; manifesting all the abundance that your life has to offer.
Born and raised in Greensboro, North Carolina to a prestigious family of indigenous healing practitioners, affluent entrepreneurs and philanthropist. I have had the privilege to exude black excellence while traveling all over the world studying and teaching ancient indigenous healing modalities. I have always been highly intuitive and grateful to have grown in a family that made room for my gifts. My people where freedom fighters and singled handed financed a lot of movements and initiatives for the advancement black people. They didn't complain, they simply placed their money where their mouth is. In 1998 I continued in their steps by becoming a Lifetime Member of the N.A.A.C.P. As a child prodigy, I graduated High School at 15, receiving at that time the highest test scores recorded in state history. I gained national attention in the year 2000 after being discovered by Queen Latifah who casted me to star in the worlds first race reality television show titled, "Trading Place," produced by Queen Latifah, Bo Banks and Warner Brothers. I would become popular nationally and equally, a national controversy. Don't nobody like anybody being to proud and to free especially in the early days of television. Queen Latifah's camp offered to finance my Africana Studies degree at New York University. Things changed when I woke up one day and choose to walk away from it all. Inside I have always felt like a star but something deeper didn't want me to loose my soul; trapped by being a celebrity. Eventually I migrated to Washington, DC. and founded the highly spiritual/metaphysical Healing Art Society affectionately named The Madison House. The name was chosen as is beautiful eponym and expression of love for my daughter Madison. My whole perspective on life changed when she was born, inspiring me to show up in the world in a more loving and selfless space. Rooted confidently in my own boundaries. Unlike most parents, Madison's birth gave me freedom to be myself and fight against all forms of oppressions and self limiting beliefs. Her birth inspired me to return to the world to share my knowledge with youth and adults. Encouraging others to gift themselves a chance and providing possibilities for all people that dared to dream their life in color. The first physical location officially opened its door in 2015. The Madison House was erected in the heart of the Anacostia neighborhood a predominantly black area located east of the river in Historic Anacostia area of Washington, DC. The second location is in Osogbo, Osun State Nigeria. My passion has always been Fun, Freedom and Healing. This is unapologetically shown in my music, art and lifestyle.
